The Shanghai role
Hanwha's 2025 profile identifies HPCS in Shanghai and describes overseas subsidiary activities as compressor/equipment sales, service-center operation, repair/balancing of core parts and overhaul. Its current locations page separately lists Shanghai and Tianjin.
The manufacturing network
The same profile assigns compressor assembly and test to Changwon, engineered/large compressor and gas-turbine package work to another Changwon factory, and large compressor assembly to Busan, Korea. Confirm the offered unit's actual manufacturing origin and test location.
The current Hanwha Power brand brings together the former Hanwha Power Systems compressor and former PSM gas-turbine businesses. Compressor history records industrial-air entry in 1997 and gas-compressor entry in 2011.

Choose the duty range, then choose standard or package form
SM, SM100 Pro and SM2100 are distinct centrifugal air-compressor selections. Their catalog capacities and motor ranges need an actual pressure-qualified duty curve.
The pressure unit is bar(A), absolute. State the required pressure basis on the enquiry; these numbers must not be silently treated as gauge pressure.
The manufacturer describes inlet-guide-vane partial-load adjustment, water-in-tube coolers, proprietary gears/impellers and real-time diagnostics. Ask how these operate over the site's daily demand pattern.

What the public oil test establishes
Hanwha publishes a TÜV Rheinland test certificate dated 26 September 2017, reference 931/21232235/02. It names SM families and reports total oil below 0.01 mg/m³ for the tested samples.
The document explicitly does not assess ongoing series production. Match a current report/certificate to the exact offered model; this historical file alone does not establish coverage for the new SM100 Pro or SA selections.
What to specify at the point of use
State oil, particles and water/dew-point requirements separately, together with the measurement point and test conditions. Agree downstream drying/filtration, piping cleanliness and acceptance responsibility.
Oil-free compressed air does not mean the gear and bearing system needs no lubricant or maintenance. Obtain the current model's service instructions and oil/parts identification.
Make the operating and service plan part of the purchase
Use the site's measured operating pattern
Hanwha describes compressor-room analysis using actual flow, pressure, current and power data. Request an offered operating plan and part-load curves for the minimum, normal and peak demand, including standby and control coordination.
Define monitoring access
The TIMS service describes remote operating-data monitoring and anomaly alerts. Specify connectivity, data access, cybersecurity, responsible operators and whether the service is included.
Agree local coverage and maintenance
Request original parts, inspection/overhaul scope, qualified commissioning and operator training. The published training page describes regular courses at Changwon and other arrangements under contract. Response policies and service intervals require applicable terms for the actual destination and machine.
- Duty: inlet temperature/pressure, air-demand profile, discharge pressure basis and air-quality acceptance.
- Equipment: exact series/configuration, standard/package layout, cooling, treatment, utilities and manufacturing origin.
- Acceptance: pressure-qualified flow/power curves, current model evidence, factory tests, drawings and noise conditions.
- Handover: transport/lifting, commissioning, original parts, monitoring and destination service responsibilities.

Is the Shanghai location a manufacturing plant for all these compressors?
The official profile describes Shanghai in the overseas sales/service network and separately identifies Korean assembly/test sites. Confirm the actual order's manufacturing origin and acceptance-test location.
Is 11.4 bar(A) the same as 11.4 bar gauge?
No. The catalog explicitly uses absolute pressure. State the required basis and actual inlet conditions on the duty sheet.
Do range endpoints define a guaranteed flow and power at every pressure?
No. Request the selected configuration's pressure-qualified curves, operating/turndown conditions and inlet-state reference.
Does the SA3100 compressor size include its separate cooler?
No. The brochure gives a separate cooler size and allows cooler options. Agree the actual complete installation and maintenance envelope.
