Centrifugal compressor systems, with distinct contracting and manufacturing parties
IHI-Sullair supplies centrifugal compressors, associated systems and service. Its official profile describes joint investment by Japanese IRM and US Sullair, with T-series standard machines and engineered f-series equipment for industrial air and process duties.
The official profile names 石川岛寿力回转科技制造（苏州）有限公司 in the Suzhou–Xiangcheng Cooperation Zone for large f-series equipment. The government report records inauguration on 5 November 2024.
The new production-base entity and the original company are distinct names. Confirm the order’s contracting, manufacturing, testing and service responsibilities. The Changyang Street company address is not automatically the new factory’s address.

These are series ranges, not every possible motor/pressure combination. Request flow at defined intake/reference conditions and the actual offered pressure. Do not assign a different series’ capacity or treat a portfolio chart as a guaranteed performance map.
Control and part-load operation
TX and TRE/TRA descriptions list inlet-guide-vane regulation and constant-pressure plus load/unload control. Request minimum stable flow, usable regulation, blow-off/bypass behavior, network sequencing and total package input at your demand profile.
Oil-free gas path, lubricated machinery
The manufacturer describes oil-free compression. Gearbox/bearing lubrication is a separate boundary; installation materials include lubricant filling. Specify outlet water, oil and particle limits and treatment instead of assuming an ISO8573 class or current certificate.

Define the gas and inlet envelope before the machine
The f page describes customized air/nitrogen compression and boosting, guide-vane regulation and horizontally split service access. A nitrogen booster is not a nitrogen generator. It handles already available gas at specified inlet conditions.

- Composition/purity, contaminants or liquid risk, pressure and temperature extremes.
- Required duty
- Reference volume, normal/base/peak flow, receiving pressure and operating profile.
- Engineering boundaries
- Gas-path materials/seals, allowable carryover, cooling and drive supply, protections and process interlocks.
Obtain an offered performance map and stable operating limits. A wide pressure/power envelope does not establish one machine’s suitability for every gas or condition.

Plan the installation and future removal access
The official installation library names receiving/storage/lifting, site and foundation checks, compressor placement, piping, electrical work, removal of preservation paper/grease, alignment and lubricating-oil filling. Use the delivered model’s instructions and trained personnel; these topics do not supply universal clearances or alignment tolerances.
Before shipment
Agree mass, lifting points, preservation/storage conditions, foundation loads and actual dimensions. Identify shipping splits and site receiving responsibility.
Before connection
Obtain pipe supports/nozzle loads, cooling utilities, voltage/phase/frequency, electrical protection and control/interlock schedules. Define installation and alignment responsibility.
During service
Reserve model-specific cover, rotor and auxiliary removal/lifting space. General maintenance wording allows internal inspection through the gearbox upper cover without removing unrelated air/water piping; the actual service procedure controls the work.
- Performance: offered capacity, total input, pressure, reference conditions and usable control range.
- Gas/air interface: purity/treatment, utilities, protection setpoints and receiving-process acceptance.
- Delivery support: factory/site tests, manuals, wear parts/spares, commissioning/training and warranty commencement/exclusions.
Questions for an IHI-Sullair proposal
Does 4–9 barg mean absolute pressure?
No. Barg is gauge pressure. Keep pressure conventions explicit in the model sheet, process interfaces and performance tests.
Can a TX airflow be copied into the f-series offer?
No. Series envelopes do not provide an interchangeable capacity. The offered model needs its own intake, flow reference, pressure and performance map.
Does oil-free mean no lubricating oil is used anywhere?
No. Gas-path wording differs from drive/bearing lubrication. The installation library includes oil filling; agree actual outlet-quality acceptance separately.
