McQuay HS/HSO single-screw and centrifugal refrigeration, Suzhou

McQuay Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. publishes an official works page that a buyer can open: founded June 2003, more than 80,000 m², about 400 people, at 116 Changyang Street, Suzhou Industrial Park. The page states that Suzhou researches and produces central-air-conditioning units and the core compressors inside them, with machining and inspection kept in-house. Factory compressed air is not on that list.

The product sentence on that page is long and useful. It names single-stage centrifugal refrigeration compressors, two-stage centrifugals, high-efficiency multi-stage negative-pressure-refrigerant centrifugals, single-stage and two-stage magnetic-bearing compressors, two-stage direct-drive centrifugals, high-efficiency semi-hermetic single-screw refrigeration compressors, medium- and low-temperature semi-hermetic single-screws, open single-screw compressors, and heat-pump / heat-recovery semi-hermetic single-screws, plus screw air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, magnetic-bearing air-cooled chillers and air-handling units. This desk publishes three series: MCQUAY-HS, MCQUAY-HSO and MCQUAY-CENTRIF. Magnetic-bearing and negative-pressure centrifugal variants stay inside MCQUAY-CENTRIF or in this paragraph — not as extra SKUs.

HS is the semi-hermetic single-screw: motor and refrigerant share a housing. The official page also names medium- and low-temperature and heat-pump / heat-recovery variants of that architecture. HSO is the open single-screw: a separate motor, a coupling or belt, and a shaft seal. Those two machines do not share a spare-parts file. A centrifugal refrigeration frame is a third rotor with a different foundation, oil or magnetic-bearing story, and a different performance-test stand. The works page states a test facility that can run new negative-pressure refrigerants and traditional refrigerants, covering centrifugal and screw compressors up to 1,700 RT, plus Zeiss coordinate measuring for compressor parts.

A 2017 R&D base, upgraded in 2024 to a technology institute with more than fifty people, is named on the same page. Export to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States is a public claim. Machine tools listed include Makino and Mori Seiki centres, a UK rotor grinder, a Makino five-axis rotor and star-wheel cell, and an Italian-pattern compressor line. Those sentences describe a works a buyer can inspect. They are not a nameplate.

Suzhou Industrial Park is a Daikin-group compressor and chiller works, not a factory-air campus. A heat-pump HS and a medium-temperature HS do not share an application envelope even though both are semi-hermetic single-screws on the official list. Write the leaving-water or evaporating temperature. Magnetic-bearing and oil-bearing centrifugals are different rotors inside MCQUAY-CENTRIF. The 1,700 RT test stand on the works page is a factory capability, not a nameplate for every frame.

Screw air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, magnetic-bearing air-cooled chillers and air-handling units are the packaged products that sit around those compressors. A buyer who wants a bare HS compressor and a buyer who wants a screw chiller are not on the same packing list. Write bare or package. Japanese, UK and other group R&D centres are named as technical counterparts; they do not become the seller.

Documents that survive the public-page check are ISO 9001, Eurovent, CRAA and a green-building mark, with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 named as later management systems. This listing will not invent an ISO 8573 class or an air-compressor CE mark. The plant remains the seller. McQuay Suzhou quotes. Daikin group policy on the page does not change the packing-list name.
