The DET550-5L is a compact corded electric oil-free piston compressor from Fine Air’s portable range. Its published table lists 550 W power, 1400 rpm speed, 80 L/min air displacement and an 8 bar maximum pressure. It has a listed 1.32 US-gallon receiver and a 30 × 33 × 35 cm outline. The original manufacturer photograph shows a carry frame, gauges and a small horizontal receiver.

This selection uses an electrical connection. A portable frame describes how the machine is arranged for handling; it does not identify diesel drive or establish off-grid capability. Specify the required supply voltage and frequency, plug or wiring arrangement, protective equipment and site power conditions. Ask for the actual offered unit’s weight and carrying instructions before planning transport or frequent movement.

Size the machine by delivered air at the connected tool’s working pressure and by the permitted run/rest cycle. The 80 L/min figure is labelled air displacement, and the 8 bar value is maximum pressure. They should not be combined into an unsupported claim of 80 L/min delivered at 8 bar. Provide the tool’s pressure, consumption, operating duration and expected recovery time, including regulation and hose losses.

Agree treatment, drain access, intake-filter maintenance, cooling clearances and service parts. Oil-free pumping avoids compression-chamber lubrication but does not by itself provide dry or process-qualified air. A small receiver is a buffer for demand variation, not proof of continuous-duty capacity. Keep the exact DET550-5L designation on the quote and drawing; do not transfer the specifications of an older AT receiver package or a standalone SW pump. For OEM orders, agree the sample, labels, model-specific documents and performance acceptance point.
