SUNSOURCE identifies SY302 in its electric-vehicle onboard oil-free compressor catalog, with a braking-system application in the product-page description. The original image shows a pump-and-motor assembly rather than a complete receiver-mounted workshop installation. The catalog separately identifies CT302 for an engineering-vehicle application; keep these model references distinct.
An onboard compressor requires vehicle-specific selection and integration. Provide supply-voltage range, motor-control arrangement, available current, required pressure cycle and delivered air at the operating pressure. Define flow reference conditions, operating time, recovery requirements and the downstream pneumatic arrangement. Capacity or power values from a KY research cabinet or SY industrial scroll package must not be transferred to this unit.
Agree the installation with the vehicle designer and supplier. Specify mounting orientation, vibration and exposure conditions, inlet filtration, cooling, connection sizes, controls and service access. Identify receiver, treatment, condensate handling and any protective or monitoring functions as separate parts of the system boundary. The photograph establishes the manufacturer's model presentation, not compatibility with a particular vehicle or completed braking system.
Obtain selected-model electrical and performance data, interface and arrangement drawings, control logic and validation requirements for the intended vehicle. Agree responsibilities for the complete pneumatic and braking system, including acceptance conditions, commissioning and maintenance. For OEM production, tie the sample, labels, components and inspection procedure to the same approved configuration. A generic onboard or oil-free description does not establish road-vehicle approval or the suitability of one unchanged pump for every electrical and pneumatic architecture.
