FOB is the default industrial quote: the plant packs and clears export, you nominate the forwarder. CIF is a landed-cost option with freight as a separate line.

Screw and piston packages usually quote FOB Ningbo or Shanghai. Guangdong PET skids often quote FOB Shekou. Write the port you can actually collect from. “FOB China” is not a port.
Plywood cases, moisture barrier, lifting marks, commodity code and wood treatment belong on the packing list. Inspection is a factory trial run or a third-party visit before vessel cut-off — ask on the RFQ, not after the deposit.
