The selected Y-series page publishes permanent-magnet variable-frequency starting. Its 8 bar rows include YMF8-8, YMF11-8, YMF15-8, YMF22-8 and YMF37-8.

The B-series title is general, but the table’s starting column also says permanent-magnet variable-frequency. The letter B alone is not evidence of fixed-speed operation.

The company also publishes YPF/YLF fixed-speed equipment. YLF22-8 lists star-delta starting, whereas the existing Y selection here is YMF. Do not mix their drive, envelope or motor data.
For variable-speed selection, ask for minimum stable demand, turndown, low-load control and allowable stop/start duty. A general energy-saving statement is not a measured saving for your load profile.

Is every Y-series machine variable speed?
No. The official catalogue separates Y fixed-speed YPF/YLF machines from PM variable-speed YMF machines. Use the complete model and control sheet.
Can BMF22-8 use YMF22-8 installation dimensions?
No. Although their printed power, pressure and flow match, the BMF row is wider and heavier. Obtain the actual model drawing and service clearance.
Does an SF22-8 photo establish a 22 kW, 8 bar duty?
The photo establishes a visible identifier. Obtain its numerical datasheet instead of decoding the name, and agree delivered flow and air-quality acceptance.
