How to specify an air compressor
If the RFQ only says “compressor, China”, a plant cannot price it. Start with architecture, then the duty point, then the papers.
What belongs on the RFQ
Write the duty point
Write working pressure in bar(g). Write FAD at that pressure, or the process that implies flow. Write motor kW or the site electrical limit. Write 50/60 Hz and voltage. Write oil-injected or oil-free and the ISO 8573-1 class if it matters.
Then quantity, destination, FOB China port or CIF named port, packing, and whether a third-party inspection is required before loading. That is a sheet a plant engineer can answer. A brochure comparison is not.

What if I do not know FAD?
Describe the process: table count, bottle cavities, tools, hall machines. Plants can propose FAD; they cannot invent your process.

The manufacturing plant. This desk issues the English duty sheet.
How to specify an air compressor: Voltage and frequency matter as much as bar. Typical first reply: 1–2 working days after the plant confirms it can hold the duty.
