The three families below serve different systems. An AA air-end is a compression component. RC2 is for refrigeration. A scroll air-end supplies another compressed-air route. Start with the system you are building or replacing.

The compression component for a package you are integrating or repairing. Hanbell separates ordinary-pressure AA from medium-pressure AA-H and low-pressure AB-L; identify the exact family.

A semi-hermetic screw family with A/B motor options. Hanbell lists R22, R134a, R407C, R404A and R507; select the exact variant against the refrigeration duty.

Oil-free air package integration
Oil-free scroll air-end
The compression chamber is separated from the lubricated transmission, with an integral centrifugal cooling fan. The installation's air treatment and delivered air quality still need selection.

Replacing an air-end
Send the old model, mounting and connection layout, speed and drive information. Similar appearance or motor size alone does not establish compatibility.
Building a new package
Agree the supplied component and accessories. Identify who provides the motor, cooling, oil circuit, controls and downstream air treatment.
Replacing a chiller compressor
Send the original nameplate and system conditions. Confirm RC2 model/motor compatibility and control requirements before agreeing the replacement.
A cold-room or blast-freezing duty needs its own operating-envelope selection. Hanbell identifies separate cold-storage compressor families; the RC2 name alone is insufficient.

Questions before selecting a model
Does an AA air-end quotation include a complete compressor?
Do not assume so. AA is the compression component. Agree the motor, drive, cooling, lubrication, controls and accessories in the supplied scope.
Can I use the 600 L/min scroll figure at 10 bar?
The official 5.5 kW table lists 600 L/min at 8 bar and 440 L/min at 10 bar. A different model or configuration needs its own documented selection.
Is every RC2 suitable for a cold-storage installation?
Select against the refrigerant, temperatures, motor and operating envelope. The issuer describes RC2 for air-conditioning, ice storage and heat-pump applications and identifies separate cold-storage families.
Does an oil-free scroll air-end certify my process air quality?
Construction alone does not establish the complete installation's air-quality class or suitability for a particular process. Specify the required outlet quality and request matching evidence for the selected package and treatment.
