Machine tools need dry, stable 7–8 bar air. Size from the cell, not from a round kW number a vendor likes to sell.
What belongs on the RFQ
Numbers a plant can quote
A shop with six VMCs and a laser in the next bay is two duties. Put CNC air separate from laser assist air. For the cell, count machines, tool-change blow-off and whether a receiver already exists.
Listed screw plants quote this as general industry. VSD helps if the night shift is one machine; it is optional, not a religion.
