BITZER's CS compact semi-hermetic screw family covers air-conditioning chillers, process chillers and heat pumps. This catalogue reference groups CSH and CSW variants; it is a family page, not a claim that one compressor fits every duty. The compact design integrates an oil separator and a suction-gas-cooled motor, while capacity-control and inverter options depend on the selected version.
BITZER publishes a CS-family swept-displacement range of 137–1120 m³/h at 50 Hz. Examples in its current range include CSH6553-35(Y) at 137 m³/h and CSW6583-40(Y) at 195 m³/h. These numbers are refrigerant displacement at the stated frequency. They are not chilled-water flow, cooling capacity, compressed-air FAD or a guaranteed operating point. Working pressure, motor input and delivered capacity remain model- and refrigerant-specific.
The first decision is application: an air-cooled chiller or heat-pump operating range may call for a different CSH motor/application version from a water-cooled chiller using a CSW variant. Refrigerant choice, evaporating/condensing temperature and the required temperature lift can eliminate a nominally similar machine. BITZER lists standard and lower-GWP refrigerant families, including some A2L options; any selected refrigerant must be checked against the exact model, site rules and manufacturer operating envelope.
For a comparable RFQ, provide required cooling or heating capacity, refrigerant, evaporating and condensing conditions, chilled-water inlet/outlet temperatures and flow if applicable, ambient or condenser-water conditions, supply voltage/frequency, load profile and capacity-control preference. Ask for the exact CSH or CSW model, performance printout at those conditions, electrical input/current, oil and control package, operating limits, connection drawings and manufacturing origin. Compare alternatives at the same duty, not by swept displacement alone.
