ECOLINE semi-hermetic piston refrigeration from BITZER Refrigeration Technology (Beijing EDA)

ECOLINE is BITZER's semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor family for low- and medium-temperature refrigeration and air-conditioning. It is a refrigerant compressor, not an industrial compressed-air machine. For a cold store, supermarket rack or process-cooling duty, first state the refrigerant and the required cooling capacity at the actual evaporating and condensing conditions; a displacement figure alone cannot establish delivered cooling.

The manufacturer's standard ECOLINE range has seven housing sizes and 27 models with 4.06–221.0 m³/h swept displacement at 50 Hz. Its tandem range has five housing sizes and 20 models with 22.7–303.2 m³/h. For scale, BITZER lists 2KES-05(Y) at 4.06 m³/h and 8FE-70(Y) at 221 m³/h, both at 50 Hz. These are distinct model examples, not a single unit that spans the whole range. The manufacturer lists HFC/HCFC and lower-GWP/HFO-blend refrigerant options; compatibility and allowed envelope depend on the selected model and refrigerant.

A useful comparison is standard versus tandem configuration. A tandem arrangement can be considered when staging or capacity steps matter, but the actual control strategy, part-load behavior and installation dimensions must be checked against the chosen models. Neither a family photograph nor a nominal model code establishes the compressor's cooling kW, input kW, working pressure or electrical supply at your duty.

Before requesting a quote, provide cooling load and units, refrigerant, evaporating and condensing temperatures, superheat/subcooling assumptions, supply voltage and frequency, ambient/heat-rejection conditions, duty cycle and preferred capacity control. Request a model-specific selection printout showing cooling capacity, absorbed power, current, operating envelope, connection dimensions, oil and control accessories. If two suppliers use different design points, normalize those conditions before comparing price or efficiency.
