SCR's XA family uses ANEST IWATA scroll airends, compressing air between fixed and orbiting scrolls without oil for compression cooling/lubrication. Larger packages combine motor-airend modules under one canopy and stage their operation to suit demand. A modular arrangement needs a control and service plan; it is not an automatic guarantee of full-duty redundancy.

The table pairs capacity at 8 and 10 bar. SCR5XA-8/10 is 3.7 kW with 0.40/0.35 m³/min and a 50 L receiver. SCR10XA-8/10 is 7.5 kW with 0.80/0.70 m³/min and 230 L. SCR40XA-8/10 is 30 kW with 3.50/2.80 m³/min and no receiver listed. These pressure pairings use the manufacturer's rated-pressure ISO1217 Annex C capacity basis. The table's receiver field does not mean the same integrated storage is supplied on all larger units.

For a multi-module selection, state normal and peak flow, pressure and the useful capacity that must remain during one module's service. Ask for the module configuration, sequencing/rotation, receiver size, minimum run/stopping behaviour and access for airend, belt and inlet-filter maintenance. Confirm the actual electrical frequency/voltage and a reviewed configuration for exceptional altitude, heat, humidity or dust.

Define downstream drying and point-of-use air quality, including required pressure dew point, instead of treating oil-free compression as a complete dry-air system. Request selected-model certification scope where needed, paired performance and package input, installation/cooling drawings, acceptance conditions and commissioning/parts responsibility.
