The official centrifugal overview identifies E as a high-speed, two-bearing, horizontally split process-compressor family described as one compression section. Published size identifiers are E28, E35, E45, E56, E63, E71, E80, E90, E100, E112, E125, E140 and E160. These identifiers are not motor, pressure or capacity ratings.
Drive alternatives include a motor through a speed-changing gearbox or direct drive by a suitable high-speed steam turbine or motor. The overview lists air, natural gas, NO and other chemical-gas applications. Actual materials, sealing, auxiliaries and gas compatibility must follow the selected composition and duty rather than the broad industry list.
E is distinct from EZ intermediate-cooled equipment, ES process machines with intermediate extraction/injection, ED and the internally cooled EIZ/EIZT selection. Features and numerical statements from these neighbouring families are not assigned to E. The public E description does not give a universal kW, m³/min or discharge-pressure table.
Provide normal/minimum/maximum gas cases, composition range, suction temperature/pressure, receiving pressure, volume reference, contaminants/liquid risk and operating/transient pattern. Obtain a selected-model performance map, absorbed power, driver selection, speed and surge/control limits. State required pressure convention and test basis explicitly.
Agree gas sealing/support and vent boundary, lubrication/cooling, inlet conditioning, gearbox/direct-drive scope, instruments/protections and control interfaces. Obtain package/P&ID, foundation/nozzle loads, lifting and upper-casing/service access drawings, manuals, wear parts and agreed factory performance/mechanical acceptance. Confirm commissioning, warranty and destination support. The official E photo is a rotor/casing detail view, not a complete delivered package or every listed size.
